Michael Kerr, Photographer
Michael Kerr discovered the world of photography at the age of ten when his parents packed a Kodak cardboard disposable camera in his backpack and sent him to summer camp. Growing up, he was fascinated by the ability to freeze moments in time, capturing everyday life through the lens.
As he matured, so did his passion for photography. Michael returned to camp as a teenage staff where he began teaching film photography techniques to campers in an advanced program.
Following college, Michael entered the world of law enforcement where he undertook the darker side of life that is crime scene photography. Technology advanced and the world switched from film to digital.
Michael has a passion for artists, authors, and musicians. He has honed a distinctive style of black and white contrasts with depth. His work has been published in print and online media. He is recognized not just for his technical skill, but the unique way he sees the world – a vision shaped by curiosity and creativity.
